JOHN LENNON INSTANT KARMA ACETATE
An original "Instant Karma" acetate recording having handwritten notation at center reading "Inst. Karma" 3:18." In February 1970, Lennon wrote, recorded, and released "Instant Karma" within a week, employing the use of producer provocateur Phil Spector. It soon became a hit single, reaching the top 10 in both the United Kingdom and the United States. Two months after its release, Paul McCartney announced the Beatles were breaking up. Housed in Transco sleeve. PROVENANCE: From the collection of Howard Smith. 10 inches diameter.
