The Beatles Please Please Me PMC 1202
DICK JAMES DEMO Record

Comes in original white cardboard sleeve stamped EMI MIDDX. The vinyl shows many light surface scratches but looks good overall.

Dead wax is stamped XEX 421 1N

The B Side has the standard Yellow and Black Parlophone Label.

This LP was given to the original owner (a US resident) in 1963 by a friend who worked at EMI. The original owner played it often (mostly for others in the USA) because very few people in US had heard of the Beatles and no one in the US was selling the records. He says that this LP was probably one of the first Beatles records on US soil. Original owner has had this record for 42 years!

I really have no idea what kind of demo this was because of the Yellow and Black B Side label. (I Have been told that this may be counterfeit because of this). So I don't know if the original owner was given a "fake" demo by his EMI friend in 1963. To add to the confusion I have also been contacted by another eBay member who told me that they have heard of instances where LPs were pulled off of production and made into demos as new markets began to expand.
