Introducing The Beatles

Auctioned in the early 90s
by Rockaway Records.

BEATLES - Introducing The Beatles (Vee Jay/Universal Recording Group) mono metal acetate of 12 track LP with "Please Please Me", issued during late 1963. Labels have a blue & black print "Universal" logoand typed song titles and master numbers. Artist is listed as "Beattles". This acetate originally belonged to an employee of Vee Jay Records who was an execytive during th 1960s. It includes a letter of authenticity from him, which states that to his knowledge, this is the only known authentic Beatles Vee Jay acetate in existance today. Since no others have surfaces in 30 years, we believe this to be true. This acetate is significant considering it is the only known acetate of the first US Beatles LP (According to the original owner, no acetates of the earlier version of the LP with "Love Me Do" were ever manufactured). Considering the age of this item, it is in excellent condition. The labels are excellent & the vinyl is (VG) with a slight edge warp which does not effect the play. In fact, overall it plays (VG+) or better. A piece of history. For auction, minimum bid: $6000
