AVAILABLE RECORDINGS:
Total time listed on the box is 25:04. It probably runs about ten seconds more, picking up John's cold hands comment. On the Nagra reels, the total time to that point is 30:36. The 8 track tape was stopped twice during the performance (indicated by lines in the list below). setting-up "All Cameras, take one" Get Back [DDSI 30.02] "...Ted Dexter's scored another." "We've had a request from Martin Luther..." ----------------------------------------------------- Get Back [DDSI 30.04] "Had a request from Daisy, Morris and Tommy" Don't Let Me Down [DDSI 30.05] I've Got A Feeling [DDSI 30.06] "Oh, my soul...it's so hard..." ----------------------------------------------------- The One After 909 rehearsal [DDSI 30.07] "All Cameras four." The One After 909 [DDSI 30.08] "Oh, Danny Boy..." [DDSI 30.09] guitar riffs/tuning (before 'Get Back' on LP) Dig A Pony rehearsal [DDSI 30.10] "Hold it!...sniff, sniff..." Dig A Pony [DDSI 30.11] "Thank you, brothers." "Me hands're gettin' too cold to play chords." UNAUTHORIZED RELEASES: The entire performance, with the additional material, from Nagra reels 562A, 1146B-1147B and D1, is on "The Complete Rooftop Concert 2CD" on Yellow Dog Records A complete composite edit utilizing all available Nagra reels is on "Thirty Days" disc 14 on Vigotone Records. This is likely the most comprehensive recording we'll ever hear from the rooftop concert. The One After 909 [DDSI 30.08] This is from reel AR14271/2 LP "GET BACK" STEREO LP compiled 2 June 1969. This was mixed 5 February 1969 by Glyn Johns (Barrett indicates at A.I.R. Studio) on reel AR13451. Although the song mix differs little from the "Let It Be" album version, it contains additional 'chat' at both ends. It is found on "Thirty Days" disc 17 on Vigotone Records as well as numerous other copies of the "Get Back" album. The One After 909 [DDSI 30.08] This comes to us from a John Barrett cassette dub of reel AR16991/2 "GET BACK" STEREO LP (DO NOT USE FOR MASTERING) compiled 29 July 1970. However, it is likely the same mix from AR13451. This is found on "The Glyn Johns Final Compilation" Vigotone Records. OFFICIAL RELEASES: Get Back [DDSI 30.04 - 30.05 edit] Don't Let Me Down [DDSI 30.05] I've Got A Feeling [DDSI 30.06] The One After 909 [DDSI 30.08] Dig A Pony [DDSI 30.11] "Me hands are gettin' too cold to play chords." All these performances are seen in the "Let It Be" movie" with audio from the Nagra reels. Don't Let Me Down [DDSI 30.05] This was mixed in 2003 edited with a second rooftop performance of the song. It was included on "Let It Be Naked". I've Got A Feeling (RS4?) [DDSI 30.06] Phil Spector mixed this on 23 March 1970 on reel E97101. The mix is compiled on reel AR16216 "LET IT BE" STEREO LP (YEX 773/4). This was used for the "Let It Be" vinyl and CD. I've Got A Feeling [DDSI 30.06] This was re mixed in 2003 edited with a second rooftop performance of the song. It was included on "Let It Be Naked". The One After 909 [DDSI 30.08] Danny Boy [DDSI 30.09] Phil Spector mixed this on 23 March 1970 on reel E97101 or E97102. The mix is compiled on reel AR16216 "LET IT BE" STEREO LP (YEX 773/4). This was used for the "Let It Be" vinyl and CD. The One After 909 [DDSI 30.08] This was remixed in 2003 and was included on "Let It Be...Naked". Strangely enough, this includes vocal shouts barely heard on Glyn Johns' or Phil Spector's mixes. Dig A Pony [DDSI 30.11] Phil Spector mixed this on 23 March 1970 on reel E97101. The mix is compiled on reel AR16216 "LET IT BE" STEREO LP (YEX 773/4). This was used for the "Let It Be" vinyl and CD Dig A Pony [DDSI 30.11] This was remixed in 2003 and was included on "Let It Be...Naked". It's possibly Phil Spector's edit from reel E97101 was used because the edited intro/outro have been maintained. |
