AVAILABLE RECORDINGS:

This tape is the very last recording session for a Beatles album. It is the tape with Phil Spector's orchestral and choral overdubs.
Five weeks later, the "Let It Be" album was released and an era was over.

UNAUTHORIZED RELEASES:

"Across The Universe" appears, from an acetate of an unidentified mix, on "Acetates Collection" on Unicorn Records. It's possible that it's from this session. However, it is more likely that this is a February 1968 mix.
Otherwise, there are no unauthorized recordings available.

OFFICIAL RELEASES:

Across The Universe (take 9 RS13?)

Take 7 was recorded 4 February 1968 on reel E67495. Take 8 was a tape-to-tape reduction of take 7 recorded 8 February 1968 on reel E67496. Take 9, presented here, is a tape-to-tape reduction from take 8.
It was mixed and edited on 2 April 1970 probably on reel E97137. Then it was compiled on reel AR16216 "LET IT BE" STEREO LP (YEX 773/4) which is the source for this item.

The Long And Winding Road
(take 18 edit of RS10 & RS13)

An unnumbered take was recorded 26 January 1969 on reel E90496. Take 18 is a tape-to-tape reduction of that take. Take 18 was mixed 2 April 1970 on reel E97136. It was then compiled on reel AR16216 "LET IT BE" STEREO LP (YEX 773/4) which is the source for this item.

I Me Mine (take 18 edit of RS11 & RS12)
Take 16 was recorded 3 January 1970 on reel E91742. Take 18, presented here, is a tape-to-tape reduction (with extended edit) of take 16. Take 18 was mixed 2 April 1970 on reel E97136. On 5 April 1970, it was compiled on reel AR16216 "LET IT BE" STEREO LP (YEX 773/4) which is the source for this item.
see
E91742 for further details here

All of these are available on the original
"Let It Be" vinyl and CD.

NOTE: a remix of 'Across The Universe" was done for "Let It Be...Naked". This likely utilized the original take 8 on reel E67496 from 8 February 1968 and, probably, has nothing to do with this reel.
