Dinner during a Chris Thomas production session
September 1968

Since two reels can be seen at the tape machines, it seems likely that George and Ringo are having a late dinner break during a mixing session
or a tape copying session .

According to Lewisohn, photo #4 was "taken when George Martin was on holiday" and that Chris Thomas (seen left in photo #4) was "deputy" producer during that time. George Martin was absent from Abbey Road from 3-26 September 1968. Chris Thomas was present for three of those weeks from 9-26 September so these photos must date within that time. My guess would place these photos within the last two weeks of September. See the bottom of this page for further details of possible dates.

Tried but can't tell what acetate Ringo is holding. The sleeve notes have Paul's signiture and the
rest looks to be his writing. Also, I'm only taking a guess that the pic is from this session.
