Info for this specific disc is unknown.
"Studio Outtakes" was issued in 1977 by the label Tobe Milo. Tobe Milo, a label started in 1976, dominated the late 1970s with a series of "collectors'" EPs with well-designed packaging and mediocre, yet often times unique, material . The EPs all featured deluxe cardboard covers. Each were numbered and very limited editions. Today they are highly collectable. |

This was the first issue made available for most of the tracks featured on this release. It also features two famous "outfakes". "Day Tripper" was supposed to be John and George with The Jimi Hendrix Experience. It's actually just The Jimi Hendrix Experience performing on the BBC. This killer track was eventually released legitimately in the 1990s in excellent quality on a Hendrix BBC compilation. Strangely, that release implied that special guests appeared on the recording. "Oh My Love" was supposed to be an early Beatles' version on the Lennon song. While a very nice performance, the recording is actually a Canadian band called The Wackers. |
