Sam Leach dates this photo as 1962 at The Grafton Rooms. That date
cannot be correct because John's guitar has been painted black.
That fact would have to date it on this date (the only other date The
Beatles played this venue).

Mark Lewisohn states, "[This was] The Beatles' first home-town
engagement in over a month... The evening was a resounding success,
with a record-breaking attendance crowding into the large Grafton Rooms. One enterprising local stole 100 tickets a few days beforehand only to find that they were numbered and declared invalid."
